Ella V. Costner

Ella Costner was named Poet Laureate of the Smokies under Tennessee Joint Resolution 108. As poet laureate, Ella was a honorary representative of the Smoky Mountains.



This was Ella's childhood home in Cosby. 

Ella served as a military nurse and was a prisoner of war in WWII.
