The Cole Cemetery is located off Newfound Gap Road along the Riverview Quiet Walkway directly across the street from the Huskey Gap Trailhead. There's a parking lot with two separate trailheads. One goes to the left and dead ends while the one with the cemetery goes to the right. The cemetery is located about two tenths of a mile down the graveled
trail and to the right side just as the trail turns to the right.

William "Black Bill" Ogle and his family minus his recently deceased father were among the first settlers in Gatlinburg. He married Nancy Bohannon in 1810 and had 11 children. There is also a stone for William in Gatlinburg at the White Oaks Cemetery but he's actually buried in Cole Cemetery.
